Leanne Pearson is a Perth-based oil painter renowned for her luminous artwork and expressive brushwork. A passionate artist with more than 20 years living and working in Western Australia, Leanne has received numerous prestigious awards and is widely respected for her exceptional use of colour and her ability to capture light with confidence and sensitivity.

After many years teaching art from her home studio and within the community, Leanne has expanded her reach through an online art membership platform, offering comprehensive oil painting instruction with new monthly teaching videos. She continues to present workshops locally, interstate and internationally, while growing her online teaching practice.

Leanne’s paintings grace the homes of Australian and international collectors, and she is continually commissioned for both private and public works. Her work is highly sought after, reflecting her distinctive style and painterly energy. Recently, Leanne was awarded the $50,000 Liberty Liquors Portrait Award and the Cossack People’s Choice Award, further cementing her reputation as one of Australia’s leading contemporary artists. She was a Plein Air Down Under Open Category Award Winner in 2022, 2023 & 2024.

Adding figures to landscapes brings storytelling, movement and atmosphere to your paintings. Join acclaimed artist Leanne Pearson for this one-day studio workshop exploring expressive ways to confidently include people in your work.

Working primarily in oils (acrylics welcome), Leanne will demonstrate her bold, painterly approach and guide you to loosen up, use vibrant colour and create depth and light. With personalised instruction in a supportive environment, this workshop suits both emerging and experienced artists looking to expand their creative expression.
